Holy crap on a stick the iPad Livejournal app is ugly as sin. Functional, though. I spose that's what counts.
So, yus, I have mysteriously acquired an iPad from one of my clients who didn't need it, and I'm pretty much constantly on it. It's pretty ridiculous. It'll be incredibly useful for work, and it's a lot easier to use iPlayer and IRC on here than it is to use them on the laptop. This client is also talking about providing me with about £4,500 worth of computer equipment as an investment, and other incredibly tempting things. Really looks like things are picking up.
Autocomplete is a total nightmare tho. It comes up with the most bizarre shite. I can type pretty uncommonly fast on the screen keyboard and the fact it doesn't have any tactile response doesn't bug me at all, but I have to be really careful about what I'm typing. Perhaps this will teach me to look at the screen instead of the keyboard all the time.
Listening to an ambient dubstep album a friend recommended me, it's lush. Not the kind of album you put on to listen to deliberately, more the kind you put on to do something that requires concentration to. Suits me fine. :D
No paid work to do now that the Chisel-Mallet website has been completed! That's more awesome than it sounds ... Can actually start sorting my affairs out and get £500 in tax rebate back now, and start exercising.
Post-therapy life is still sort of weird. Predictably I was really uncomfortable for like the first few days as my brain got used to the idea, but now it's sort of back to good times. For once I feel really positive.
