What am I doing?
I just really don't know what to write about anymore. I don't just sit in class and watch the insanity unfold around me - I actually have to do things during the day. There isn't that much at work I'm willing to write about on here either. Trust me, I have tons to say about it, but nothing I will share here.
I suppose I can write about my house, since that's what I am currently obsessed with. It's little, but cute, and we're just starting to decorate. This picture was taken in July - the tree is a Rose of Sharon that fills with giant, white hibiscus flowers, and I love it!!!
We've got a few nice pieces of furniture, and the rest is filled with hand-me-downs and grad school Ikea fillers. The living room area is 2 stories tall (open to a loft upstairs), so the wall behind the TV is huge and needs to be less empty.
It's been tough living in a new house because everything is so white. Since the wedding is behind us I've had plenty of time to obsess about how to fix that. So far we've painted a wall in the dining room "Spicy Cayenne" and the back hallway "Dolphin Fin" (although we can't exactly figure out why the color is named after the fin and not the whole thing).
The painting and unpacking the wedding gifts has made me feel a bit better. If Sallie Mae wasn't so far up my you know what I'd try to weasel my way into staying home so I could nest more! Regardless, I'm sure we'll get there eventually.
