The history of the "Man in Black"...
I wasn't entirely sure if we learned the "Man in Black"'s name in this one, although I thought at the start his mother called him "Nanzeem"(?) (I may have misheard). I enjoyed the whole history of Jacob and the other man, who was in fact his twin brother (I did not expect that).
This episode raised a lot of questions - I couldn't really understand why their "mother" would not let him leave, and the ending was very sad. The whole "light" thing was not explained, except that it involved the creation of the orchid, and that anyone who goes into it becomes a smoke monster.
I liked the way they showed the whole black/white metaphor, with the playing pieces, and then an old flashback with Jack, Kate and Locke (the only appearance from the regular cast). Overall, a good episode.
