Florida: Part 4

Day 8

We went to Sea World; they have two new coasters - Mantra and Kraken - but I was too nervous to ride either of them, but I did go on Journey to Atlantis.

The place where we had dinner was very crowded, and we found it hard to get a seat, especuially as a lot of people just sat at tables without food so they could hold them for their families and friends, as no members of staff seemed to be stopping them. I wonder if any other customers ever actually have the guts to go up to these people and complain?

We watched Shamu the killer whale as usual, and also went on the Arctic motion simulator. After the show, we ended up in a room with REAL ice on the wall. This one guy started leaning on the ice and lifting his shirt up so it was right up against his back - I don't think I could have done that.

We ate dinner in the apartment.

Day 9

We spent this day at Hollwood Studios (formerly MGM); this was very much the same as it always has been, and I went on all the usual rides; the Rock and Roller Coaster was closed at first due to technical difficulties (again), so I had to save it for the end, but I also went on the Tower of Terror, and the Backlot Tour - and we watch Muppets 3D and the stunt show, which involved lots of stunts using vehicles (mostly cars); some of it was very impressive and they showed us how all the stunts were done.

We hated the place where we went in the evening. The staff we unfriendly; when they paged us to let us know our table was ready, I went to the desk and the woman behind it started reaching out to grab it and didn't say a single word to me. I doubt I would go back there if we went to Florida again.
