Okay, so despite the worry that Boris would make us all cancel our holidays, it seems that we can still go; the big thing now is that if you're walking around in a restaurant, you have to wear a mask, so I'll have to make sure I do so, or face a £200 fine.
I checked the front door this morning; it turned out someone's key had broken in the lock, and the end of the key was stuck inside - it wasn't heat expansion at all. I've never heard of something like that happening, and am wondering just how much Desperate Dan-like brute force this person was using; I don't know how long it had been like that, if my neighbours are like me, they'll be using the back door during the day because of moments when someone comes dashing out of the next door pharmacy, and they miss you by about 0.1 of a second, it feels almost like your life is flashing before your eyes. If I were writing social distancing catchphrases, I'd maybe say Think > Stop > Swerve. Think about other people, stop if you're getting too close and swerve around people if you can.
That was actually a large digression from the subject; the good news is that it's been fixed, and we can use that door how we like, until something else goes wrong.
I took a walk this morning while the weather was still nice; apparently, today - not yesterday - was the first day of Autumn; I went out early enough, and got to see a squirrel and a rabbit, and also got this nicely-framed picture.
Three days until I go away. I also want to learn to play my new game, "Count Your Chickens".
