30 Day Movie Challenge, Day #12: A Favourite Animated Film
I said Dumbo yesterday, so today I'll say Watership Down (1976)
I genuinely watched this about three or four times back to back one day; I loved this, and somehow didn't let all the disturbing imagery and moments (people culling rabbits so they could construct houses on their warren, rabbits fighting and even killing each other, and even Hazel being shot).
Kehaar the seagull is my favourite character, and I'd have loved him to have been in it before.
Watching it now, I notice that it does feel rushed towards the end, compared to the book, but I still love it, and it has one of the best musical soundtracks of any film that I know. I love the Bright Eyes sequence in the middle, and it made me fall in love with the song.
