I did another walk with the ramblers today; it was very muddy though, and we had the unusual incident of one person being taken ill and having to go back. We also managed to take one wrong turn.
Edit: We also saw game hunters on the trip - heard them shooting pheasants from a distance and then saw them all in a big group while walking through a farm - they had their dogs in cages. It's not an especially nice thought, though I am also partial to trying pheasant if I see it on a pub menu (sorry, animal lovers).
The muddy sections weren't especially fun, but the scenery was great, and we did get a really good meal in the pub that we finished the walk at. I was also lucky enough to get a lift back home.
I'm determined to buy myself new walking boots though - no more getting my trainers messed up.
