My sister and I went to see Keith Chegwin and Tony Blackburn doing some filming near where I live this morning.
Probably a lot of you will be scratching your heads wondering who they are, so I'll explain. Keith Chegwin is recently well known for, among other things, doing some sort of nude gameshow on Channel 5 - and appearing in Celebrity Big Brother, as well as presenting a number of TV shows. Tony Blackburn is a DJ who won I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here a few years ago.
At one point, I was just a few feet away from them. I took my phone and took a couple of pictures; they weren't great, due to my agonising nervousness whenever I get near to celebrities (which is one of the reasons I can never go to conventions), and also the fact that whenever I got a good shot, they would either look the other way, someone would push in front of me, or someone would stand right in front of them. They were dressed at the Blues Brothers and were telling market traders how to improve the market (or something).
At the end of the filming, we all had to contribute by booing them. I thought it would be a good chance to hover in the background, in the crowd - and then these two women in front of me held a banner up, blocking my face entirely - and knowing my luck they'll use THAT take. They did take another one, though I suspect I still had someone's head conveniently in my way. For anyone in Britain, it will be shown in February (according to what I heard). If you do happen to spot me, I'm wearing a Liverpool shirt.
We also had to go to the tip to get rid of some garden waste, and I caught my shirt on one of the branches - pulling a few threads out (I was not pleased about that).
