I watched Jim Broadbent in a Christmas Carol last night - quite late for Christmas, but it was really good anyway, with just five main cast members.
I liked the subtle film references even though they were anachronistic (the spirit of Christmas Present impersonating Psycho, for example).
The play ended earlier that I expected, which was quite good as we got back before the tubes because horrible.
Other than that I've mostly worked for the last few days, and I just got back a taekwon-do certificate that I finally got framed after a while (it's to confirm that I am a third degree black belt).
I must share last night's dream - it was a bit unsettling since it involved me causing a bit of strife.
I dreamt about a family meal last night and it seemed to involve eating the dish I'd been planning to cook for lunch today, which was a green pea tangine. I remember I was trying to explain about a recent American Dad episode and why it was so unpopular (it was "American Fung" where the show has been taken over by someone who plugs his products all over the place and has tasteless jokes about mental illness in the sub-plot). But I kept getting interrupted in explaining about this, and I was getting frustrated.
Then, the doorbell rang and it turned out to be some men delivering a grandfather clock to the house, which had apparently been ordered from a department store. I'd got up from my place at the table for some reason, and suddenly one of the delivery men was being invited to stay for lunch. He immediately sat down in my seat with his food, and this caused me to lose it and storm upstairs to my room (I don't know why, but storming out of places is a common theme of my dreams). I was refusing to come down and sitting in my room swigging from a large coke bottle, even though I was being told to come down at once. That was when I woke up.
