Start of Summer?

May 27, 2013 07:59

It's about this time of the year that the weather decides to improve considerably, and yesterday was very nice.

I spent the day getting over the sense that I'd let people down by ducking out of a gig I'd been looking forward to for ages because I suddenly realised I was supposed to have got a ticket in advance and I didn't want the embarrassment of being turned away.

I spent an hour or so in Holland Park in London, and got a few pictures:

I headed over to the church later, and hung out in Russell Square outside a café with a coke before heading on to church.

I did something that not often happens on the way back; I shared a laugh with the guy next to me on the tube; I'll call him "backward baseball cap guy", since he had a baseball cap on facing backwards. Just about everyone in the section of the carriage was grinning to each other because someone opposite me had fallen asleep and was snoring loudly.

I turned to Backward Baseball cap guy and commented: "Someone's tired".
He grinned back: "It's been a long day".
After a few moments, Backward Baseball cap guy added: "I hope he doesn't miss his stop"

And I'm going out today to watch my friend playing in a gig.
