Quick thoughts...

Two things:

1) The writer's block topic today asked about Chinese Zodiak signs.  I found this to be a strange coincidence, given that I'm new to this whole blog thing, and my alias - "Gävle Goat" is partially based on the fact that I was born in October 1979...  The Year of the Goat (or sheep, depending on who you ask).

2) I talked to the recruiter today.  All the paperwork is in except for my references...  COME ON PEOPLE!  He's going to double check that the requests were sent out.  Hopefully, MEPs will clear me for examination by the end of this week.  That means, I could be taking my PRTs as early as Thursday or Friday!  Exciting, I know...  I went to the gym today and worked out legs then spent 30 minutes on the video game bike.  I love that thing.  I was playing this tank game, sweating me arse off, and having a great time.

Okay, I lied...  3 things:

3) My girl and I got into our first fight this past weekend.  It wasn't anything huge.  It all started because she wouldn't sneak into a movie with me.  I know, it's stupid of me to get upset that she wouldn't commit a crime...  But it's not like I forcefully tried to sneak in.  While waiting for the movie to start, we walked in to play air hockey, accidently bypassing the nonexistant doorman.  She wanted to walk back out and pay, and I didn't.  Ticket prices in our town just went up to $10+.  Plus, we bought concessions - which amounted to close to $10 anyways.  Now, I used to work in a movie theater, and I know the kind of markups they have.  I could go on for hours justifying my actions, but I know that it was wrong to make such a bnig deal about it.  It's just, her and I are both strapped for cash, and I didn't see the reason to give more to those who already have too much.  At any rate, we bickered so much that I finally said, "look, let's just call it a night, I'm so frustrated that I wouldn't be able to enjoy the movie anyways.  So, we left, after having bought concessions and without watching a movie.  I guess the rich hollywood mogels won after all.  We've since made up and all is well.
