Optimistic October: The Game isn't Blame

Oct 11, 2024 06:53

I met a friend for lunch yesterday; we queued for Porterford Butcher; I can hardly believe this was my first visit there; they do very good deli style food as well as operate as a regular butcher.

I was trying to photograph the Northern Lights last night; this glow over the flats where I live was my best effort.

I have a tendency to be overdramatic about little mishaps and awkward moments; someone will come flying around a corner and we'll have a near collision, and I'll blame myself, telling myself I should be more careful, or "I told you not to do this; now this person is furious". Today, I'll try not to blame myself for little mishaps or mistakes, or other people.

On Strava, I have:
* Completed Get Active & Get Therapy with BetterHelp and the October Ten Days Active Challenge;
* Logged 43 minutes for Shokz: Run with Kipchoge Challenge and The Colombia Hike Society: Get Outdoors; and
* Climbed 667m for the October Run Climbing Challenge.
