This morning, I wrote down three things I appreciate about myself:
1) I am almost always prepared for anything;
2) I try my best to be on time; and
3) I always try to do the right thing.
I met one of the other guys for a pub breakfast before our hike, for Get Outdoors Day. There were meant to be two hikes, but the afternoon one was cancelled due to the flooding; disappointing, but no way around it.
We still had a good hike, despite having to help one latecomer catch up with us. We walked around an area of woodland (Jubilee Wood) and then returned to the town (my picture for the latest
photo_scavenger prompt is below).
A small group of us went into a bar after the walk, but oddly enough I did bump into some of the others on the way home, while changing trains.
The same guy served me in the coffee shop when I changed trains in the morning and about six hours later in the afternoon; I hope he got a break at some point.
I have climbed 1,829m for the Strava September Running Elevation Challenge; I think I'm not quite going to complete this one.
