Happier January: Beautiful Blue Monday
A mug of tea to start "Brew Monday", alternative to Blue Monday.
I've been looking out for things I find beautiful today.
I just love the look of the frost on the hedges near my flat, seen on the walk to the station.
Also, a nice old-fashioned lamp, seen on the way to a meeting this afternoon.
I bought a coffee from a stall as I arrived near the venue; the man serving me was friendly; we discussed the weather. I had a bit of banter with another man who showed up, making random jokes to the barista; I wondered if he had asperger's like me, he just had that sort of vibe.

And a view over the water, with the Emirates cable car line and cranes
I popped back into the office, just for twenty minutes, and then headed to the station. Managed to put some of my litter in a guy's litter cart, and we had a quick nod and a smile, and a thanks, which apparently looked completely odd to one passer by.
St. Paul's looked beautiful in the final light of the evening.
Things were going well on the train, until the driver announced that we'd be skipping my stop because of "no lights on the platform"; it was an excuse I've never heard before. Thankfully, the next stop is just two minutes away, and we were all relieved when the next train going the other way came very soon after, and everyone got back okay.
For one more beautiful thing (no picture this time), the Chinese Restaurant I usually pass on my commute looked very nicely done up for Chinese New Year.

* 849m for the January Running Challenge;
* 23 hours and 38 minutes for the January Fresh Start Challenge; and
* 22 minutes of 6 hours for a new challenge: Get Moving with MINI.
