Altruistic August: Have to Calm Down

Aug 12, 2023 21:33

So, I texted a friend this morning who I've not seen in a little while to check up on him, I've just seen his replies.

I had a nice day out with family, doing some walking and getting out of town for a while.

So, on Strava, I've now climbed:
*841m for The MAAP APEX:MODE Challenge; and
*649m for the August Run Climbing Challenge.

Behind the cut is my entry for photo_scavenger's "chaos" prompt (I'm all caught up). To me, this recycling system was chaotic - clear labels as to what went everywhere, but in practise, people just found everywhere to put cups (as I mentioned to a man who was also struggling to find somewhere to do his recycling).

We did feel like we were in a classic episode of "The Likely Lads", which revolves around two characters trying to avoid hearing the football score, by hiding in various places like the church.

So, we finally made it home without hearing the final result against Colombia; I didn't expect an easy win, but they did us proud today. I was glad to watch the match unspoiled.

The evening got a bit crazy then, as I just got stressed trying to sort a few things out; its one of those moments when we are almost at each others' throats; we just get aggy at each other. I sorted out half of the things I needed to; just trying to chill now.
