Meaningful May: Take it to the Table

May 03, 2023 16:58

Sunset shot from yesterday evening's walk, just to get out of town and into the countryside.

I went out to Cambridge with Mum today; I promptly forgot the gift vouchers for John Lewis that I left waiting to pick up, as I hurried through a couple of routines at the last minute, and only remembered when it was too late to go back.

I am trying to get a few new things for home, just to help with sorting out some of my clutter, by finding homes for some of it. I've identified a coffee table I could buy, which has a handy shelf underneath for keeping things on, but need to buy it now. I also spotted a clock that looks nice, and which will replace the one that doesn't work since I rehung it badly, causing it to come crashing down and permanently stop ticking (difficult hanging mechanism, and an accident that was waiting to happen).

Despite the odd annoyance, we had a pleasant day out.

Mum got this one of me in the cafe.

Tonight I'm going to make sure I'm all sorted for the hike recce I want to do tomorrow (correct maps, certain about my planned route etc.)

On Strava, I have logged:
* 15km for the Montane 30km Spring Challenge and May Walking Distance Challenge;
* 25km for Sports Direct Mara Month;
* 18km for Mammut Race to Net Zero;
* 9 miles for Cancer Research UK 13.1 Mile Training Challenge 2023; and
* 4 hours, 25 minutes for The Body Coach Challenge.
