I was struggling with being at home alone last night as it got late; kept wondering if I could have done something about it, hoped that I wouldn't be constantly feeling excluded from doing anything fun.
Today has helped me to get over the frustration a little. Here's the 2023 Active April Calendar, and I'm resolving once again to be more active this month.
I did the first Saturday of the Month 5k this morning; since it was April Fools Day though, someone had the idea to have us start the race at the finish, and run to the start, which threw some people. People were arriving and saying they'd thought no one else had bothered to show up.
Because of the recent weather, I was taking things slow in places, mostly in the slippy parts; I managed to complete the April 5k on Strava though, with an average speed of 7:55 minutes per km.
I went home and had breakfast, then helped with a recce for a Stags walk today; it was nice to spend time with others, and the main point of interest was this building, seen in Ronnie Barker's classic comedy show, Porridge.

This beacon seemed to be there to celebrate the Queen's 2012 Diamond Jubilee; shame about the anti-royalist graffiti that isn't visible in this picture.
Here's a disused station.
On Strava, I have also logged exactly 3 hours for Wings for Life World Run Training Challenge 2023 (needs 8 hours and 20 minutes) and 11km of 50km for the April Walking Distance Challenge.
I also started a collective challenge this morning: Around the World in 30 Days; lots of people were doing it at once, and the goal was 24,901 miles, completed early this morning. The group effort stands at over 2.7 million miles.
