Happier January: The Lie-in, the Wait, and the Wardrobe
I got away with a small lie-in this morning, at least in that I got up half an hour later than I usually do on a work day.
My wardrobe was delivered today, but I had to wait all morning at home before the two men showed up to assemble it. Two beardy baseball cap-wearing guys, who may or may not have been brothers.
I offered the guys biscuits and drinks; they were grateful enough to eat most of the biscuits I put out for them.
The wardrobe looks nice; I've been slowly filling it up.
Today, I've been trying not to get into the usual trap of constantly idly looking at my devices and apps throughout the day; it just usually forms a welcome distraction, and as much as I tried today, I just got too many notifications, but had the call volume on just in case the guy tried to call.
(I did attempt to switch to Do Not Disturb mode, but couldn't seem to get it to accept all calls in this mode; so I gave up).
I did get to go out for a walk when they had gone, and got a picture for today's Photo a Day prompt: Weather; I also completed the January Fresh Start Challenge on Strava.
