New Ways November: Centre Stage

Nov 26, 2022 21:20

I'd been meaning to start the Horne Section TV show for a few days, and I watched episode 1 tonight.

So, the whole premise is that Alex Horne is fed up of feeling like the "sidekick" on Channel 4's Taskmaster, and is trying to get his own show commissioned. It put me in mind in a way of Dave's "Meet the Richardsons", with its premise during a recording of Taskmaster, with Greg Davies playing himself as vile and controlling, basically an exaggerated version of how he plays the Taskmaster.

I found it funny too; and also there was a lot of John Oliver (and it seems that he will be in it some more).

This evening, we went into town just after the Christmas lights got switched on; G was headlining the event, and did about half an hour or so of songs, including a carefully censored "Fairytale of New York"; I said I to him, and we shook hands.

Oh, and last night's football: I could have put money on it being disappointing, though I think England are still top of their group.

On Strava, I have joined the Montane 30km Winter Challenge, only to find that I've already completed it.

I've also logged:
* Half of the requirements for the PUMA Finish Strong Challenge (2 hours and 11 minutes); and
* 2km for 100km for the Breitling Century Challenge.
