New Ways November: Method in the Madness?

Nov 25, 2022 17:21

Random Christmas decoration in town, spotted on my way back from getting shopping and coffee.

I visited the local art gallery with Mum today, and offered to get her some more chocolate rolls with my shopping order tonight. The gallery is a bit different; we found people upstairs with laptops, who may or may not have worked there, but we did briefly speak to one man who looked up as we arrived.

We weren't sure what to make of the art - it was a bit weird, even creepy, so we didn't stay around too long.

There was a man standing at a bus stop who was apparently going up and down and pressing the button on the pelican crossing to activate it, and then just walking back to the bus stop, just so the cars would have to stop, and apparently he was making a shush gesture to the drivers, like "don't tell anyone". We wondered who he was, was he from Extinction Rebellion, or was he some random person with either a learning disability or mental health issues?

I've been thinking of new ways to use my skills, and hopefully I'll think of something through the mentoring I'm doing, or the new position in my department that I'm going to apply for.

On Strava, I have completed the November 30-Hour Challenge, and logged 1 hour and 14 minutes for the PUMA Finish Strong Challenge (goal: 4 hours and 22 minutes).

England v USA tonight; hopefully it should be a good game. Qatar are already out of the World Cup, I believe; they won't like that.
