When walking to church recently, I've often bumped into friends in the same park; a started walking through there out of habit, and ended up seeing a group of them again.
Two weeks ago, I tried this again, and didn't see them, so today I almost did, but when I saw the overcast weather, I decided to go and sit in Starbucks to kill time again, then walk through the park to see if they were there.
Of course, when I walked through the park, they were there, just packing up from a picnic; I felt a little bummed at myself for second-guessing, and ignoring my philosophy of not changing my mind. I picked myself up though, and decided not to let it spoil my day.
On the last day before I return to work, I did manage to do a few enjoyable things:
* Stopped off at The Savannah in King's Cross St Pancras Station to get biltong (a vice of mine, so I've been visiting regularly);
* Visited the pub with friends after church; we somehow ended up leaving later than we usually do, and there was a smaller crowd than usual, and we could hear ourselves talk; we had a nice chat; and
* When my train got delayed, I went into Starbucks and bought a cherry plum kombucha drink (very tasty).
I was home about 40 minutes later than intended, but at least I got here.
On Strava, I have logged:
* 6 hours and 53 minutes for Double Down for Macmillan Cancer Support; and
* 27 km for the September Walking Distance Challenge.
