I've spent the morning trying to encourage others with their Christian faith, and make sure people feel welcome to church. Three guys showed up randomly, and I ushered them in; one of the guys didn't have shoes, and it turned out he'd had them stolen while he was asleep in the park. One of the guys was worried about going into the church with just his "wife beater" on his top (showing his large tattoos), but I assured him no one would make a fuss.
We had book club afterwards, and I had to turn down an unexpected offer of a free ticket to watch the cricket (though this isn't really my thing and I didn't want to be out all day anyway). A couple of us walked to Roti King, and ordered food; it took a while to arrive, but it was interesting to watch all the other people around, several queuing for tables. Three women were taking pictures of the chefs inside, but oblivious to the fact that they were blocking the gangway.
We had a nice chat about "
the heart of ANGER", and I hope to have another reading session soon.

Be careful what you wish for.
After Liverpool's poor performance against Fulham yesterday, I wonder if West Ham can do us a favour?
