I've been thinking of things that I feel hopeful for today:
1) Tomorrow's hike, which is all booked up;
2) Next weekend's Harry Potter tour, which I will be doing with Mum; and
3) My situation at work, that the hybrid working procedures will continue (working part of the week in the office and the rest at home is fine by me) and that we will be provided with good accommodation (we have now been promised a coffee stall in reception).
I joined a Teams call this morning to discuss our feelings about accommodation; as usual, when everyone else is more assertive than me, it felt like this.
I did manage to have my say, although at times I couldn't get a word in about a subject before the hosts insisted we move on, so I couldn't comment on how I didn't miss the office phones because they were just too distracting. A lot of the session involved blue sky thinking, and putting virtual post-its on a virtual whiteboard, using anonymous names (I ended up as "visiting rabbit").
This has been a boring week, but I am hopeful that things will pick up.
I completed the RISE Champions of Change Challenge on Strava, and have also joined The Altra Elevation Challenge. It requires me to ascend 5,000m in the next week or so, and I don't feel confident; I've logged less than 150m of ascending.
