28 Days Later
A rewatch, but it did appear in the letterboxd random film roulette.
This film doesn't scare me quite as much as when I first watched it, probably because of remembering what happens, but it still has the same visceral impact, and watching this during a worldwide pandemic does change your experience of it slightly.
The scene that always sticks out for me is the scene in Blackwall Tunnel when they are trying to fix a car tyre, only for the infected to appear on the scene.
It occurred to me while watching this film that director Danny Boyle likes to direct scenes that look bleak, where all the colours are almost saturated, and there are a lot of examples of that in this film. It's possibly also his most violent, mostly because of the climactic moments.
I think this is definitely a film I won't tire of.

1. Directors sometimes hate their own movies, maybe studio interference or just plain ol' lack of talent (which they won't admit, but I'll gladly call them out for), watch any movie that has been hated on by the very director that made it (I linked ideas over at Letterboxd, but its from a banned source... so go over there for a link or google for ideas).
5. According to They Shoot Pictures, Don't They here are the top 250 directors. Watch any movie from a director that is featured in the top 100.
6. On July 16th Anthony Bourdain's documentary will be released, watch any movie he's previously called one of his favorites.
10. Using this list find a movie you've previously seen and liked and watch a movie that is in the same row and is apparently similar to the one you've previously liked.
June

1. Melissa McCarthy's newest movie (Thunder Force) is a continuation of her making the bad decision to work with her husband.
