A mountain could be a metaphor for the obstacles I have to overcome this week, mostly my upcoming taekwon-do grading.
If you look closely, I've added a mountain goat to the side.
I joined the churh prayer meeting virtually this morning, I was the only one not there in person, but it was good to see others anyway.
I was being mindful of taking breaks while I worked today, and managed okay - I've been getting into the habit of working in front of the television these days, usually just for shows that I don't need to give 100% of my attention to, I record so much and go out so much it's often the only way to clear space on my Sky Box.
Many of my breaks were for the purposes of important tasks - putting away food shopping, doing a lateral flow test (passed, and they made some small changes to the process in the new set I received - apparently you have to look at the result in between 15 and 30 minutes now) and making a phone call to sort out home insurance.
I also found time to listen to Rob Lowe and Alan Yang on the first edition of
Parks and Recollection, which is a great podcast so far - it's one of the few that I have listened to as it came out, so it will feel like a long week before the next one comes out. Rob Lowe is thankfully less hyper or socially awkward than Chris Traeger, and very entertaining.
Mum and I went out for a walk at lunchtime, despite the grey, miserable weather.
After work, I did a one to one taekwon-do lesson with my instructor, going over patterns. I picked up some useful advice, although the lesson was slightly disrupted by some very noisy teenagers outside - he was trying to do a lesson before, and they started peering in through the windows, nosey parkers that they were. When I was in the lesson, I could hear them shouting, and a lot of banging and clattering.
I am doing well on my Strava Challenges:
*56 out of 64 Miles for Refugees, and
3 hours 41 minutes logged for the Smartwatch Challenge.
I'm realising my Spanish practice is suffering a bit - I think it must be because of focusing on taekwon-do at the moment.
