Meaningful May: The Path to Peace

May 23, 2021 17:52

If it's not the path to peace, it's just peace being a path (Chris Martin, Glastonbury 2021)

I just thought it was a neat quote.

We finally got to watch the pay per view Glastonbury after a lot of issues that were hitting most of the people who had paid good money to watch not being able to connect; it was frustrating and disappointing to begin with, but satisfying when we did finally get to tune in.

We did put on some of the Eurovision songs while we waited to connect - we thought the UK's was goood, but no, we got the usual nil points, almost certainly backlash over Brexit. I quit Eurovision many years ago over the political voting.

Italy looked ecstatic over winning.

The rest of the weekend went okay; I stayed over at Mum's house, and have just got back - I've also added a picspam of highlights, including from our pub lunch. Mum had a good birthday, despite the Glastonbury hiccup.

I've managed almost 3 hours on the Strava Le Col Aero Challenge, and completed the Cookie 100 Challenge, so I'll try and claim my free cookies later night. We also managed over 30 minutes of walking this afternoon.
