My first mindfulness challenge day was to listen to a piece of music, and do nothing else - I always get tempted to want to do something, and blitz through my chores, so just sitting still was a bit of a challenge.
Here's the song I listened to - it feels like a good mindfulness song, doesn't it?

Then, I moved on to today's happiness challenge:
1) Bring to mind something that made you smile recently, however small.
I immediately thought of skyping with friends while watching the rugby: England v Ireland. It was a terrible match, but having friends to chat to during half time, and after the match, was nice.
2) Look at your surroundings and notice one thing you're thankful to have around you.
How about the picture of me with two of the guys from work on the log flume at Thorpe Park? It was taken years ago, when we did a lot of stuff together - happy times; I don't see them much nowadays, particularly at this time of lockdown, but it's a good memory to recall.
3. Think of a person that you're happy to have in your life. (Bonus points, call or send them a text.)
Definitely Mum, and I can easily send her a message.
