Today's Mindful March challenge was to glance out of the window and look out and contemplate the sky overhead; I must admit that, with zoom calls taking place for the church virtual "weekend away", I did keep forgetting, and had to remember to do so when I was having a break.
The skies were variable today, and I've posted all four pictures that I took out of my window throughout the day, from first thing in the morning to just before it got too dark.
The talks were about the challenging subject of sharing our beliefs at work; I enjoyed chatting through the talks with some of my friends, and then we got time to have a walk - lots more time than I expected, so I took a nice long walk, and we got encouraged to meet with others (I'm too far from the others at church, so no chance of that, and would have had to try and give other friends a precise timeslot, which I didn't know until we were told).
So, I did my walk alone, but I did get some attempts at the scavenger hunt - I got a couple of fails, but here are my better efforts:
One of the challenges was to get a picture in front of a fried chicken shop; this would have been simpler if there hadn't been people parked on the pavement right in front of it, so I thought it best to try and take the shot from a little way down the street, worried about the sudden appearance of the cars' owners. The shop is just about visible, but it's quite out of focus.
In retrospect, this should have been the one I submitted as "my album cover"; I was going for the "picture of me up a tree" challenge; I took a selfie from up high, while standing on a tree stump (yes, cheat). I need a selfie stick!
I found a tree that I could "climb", by which I mean I stood in the crook between two branches, about half a foot off the ground. I didn't fancy any mad tree climbing that other people would judge me on, but this area of the common was fairly unpopulated.
As for my challenges, I logged 4.75 miles for the stags, and have reached 4 hours, 1 minute for Natural Trust Spring into Action.
After all the skyping, I sat down and watched England v France on a delay; it wasn't a brilliant match, but worth sticking out to see England snatch an unlikely come-from-behind victory.
