I really need to change ISP's
I've been meaning to do it for ages - since last year actually.
I'm currently with People Telecom. I'm on the 8000 speed plan with something like 16GB peak download limit. (I think I get another 14GB offline). I pay a fortune for it, and in reality I only get a quarter of the speed due to the distance and the line etc.
Now with eurovision upon us, there's a lot of webstreaming and downloading to be done. I'm probably doing around at least 1G per week just in the Swedish national song contest webstream.
I've been meaning to move to a cheaper (I'm currently paying $90 per month) provider that keeps my speed (if not speed it up) with an increased download limit for me so i don't have to worry about paying excess fees.
If you're in Victoria/Melbourne - who are you with? Do you recommend them? Do you have a better plan? I'd love to hear it. I can go onto whirlpool.net and locate plans (I'm currently eyeing off TPG's 50GB ADSL2 plan. Theoretically it can do, um, 21k speed? Which means I should be able to get about 5000-8000 which means faster cheaper and more downloads.
Thoughts? Ideas?
