I'm travelling with JL, and E&L with whom we've travelled before. E found this place on the web. It's managed by a Canadian/French couple. Tucked into the 4th floor of a large, historic building, facing a courtyard away from the busy streets, it's in a crowded arrondisment that has tiny streets on the only steep hill in Paris. There is a living with a couch, a table, a tv, the notebook and internet access, a cd player, two bedrooms with queen-size beds, a bath, a tiny room with a toilette, and a tiny kitchen. The floors are wooden, with throw rugs. All of it is very tastefully appointed with pictures, mirrors, lamps, and the old fireplaces that have been decoratively closed off. The kitchen has food, lots of utensils, a dishwasher, a clothes washer/dryer, a microwave/oven, a new refridgerator, and adjustable radiant heat. Because it's kinda chilly right now!
E and I walked up to Rue des Abbessess to find patisseries this morning, and then down to the Gustav Moreau museum. Food shops and cafes abound.
We've found the USB port on the laptop, but it lacks a driver to upload pictures. This may be corrected soon.
A la prochain!
