Jake Negotiates
Yesterday Joe had his second round of carpal tunnel surgery (L hand). For two days I tried preparing Jake for the fact that he would not be able to sleep in our bed for a while. After I went to the office, Jake started working on his dad.
Jake: I sleep mommydaddy bed?
Joe: No, you will have to sleep in your own bed.
Jake: Mommydaddy bed!
Joe: No, you can't, because you will bump my hand and hurt me. So you cannot sleep next to me.
Jake: I can sleep on mommy's tummy?
Jake: I sleep mommydaddy bed?
Joe: No, you will have to sleep in your own bed.
Jake: Mommydaddy bed!
