a non-smoker's rant.

You know, since I moved back home and started working full time I've worked with smokers take smoke breaks -- several a day. And it's not fair. Just because I don't smoke I have no reason to justify leaving somebody alone with phones. I don't know how many times over the past year and a half I've heard "hey, whitney, I'm running out for a cigarette. i'll be back in a few." do they clock out? no. do i get a break equivalent to the amount of time they spend outside with their cigarettes? no. do i get up and randomly go out for a fresh air break? no. do i get fussed at when i take a few minutes every couple of hours to play a game of solitaire? yes.
I don't smoke. I try my best not to associate with it. And I keep getting screwed at work for it. Grr.
