I met John Tartaglia!!!!!!!!!
So today was awesome. I was shadowing the girl at Disney whose position I am being considered for and we started the morning by doing two photo shoots with none other than John Tartaglia (aka Princeton in the original Broadway cast of Avenue Q!). He's now part of a Disney Channel program for preschoolers called Johnny and the Sprites, but he's working with puppets again and singing, so it's very similar to what he did on Broadway (minus the X-rated language). He was SO nice, shook my hand twice, looked me right in the eyes (he has gorgeous blue eyes, he's much taller in person than he seems and he has really straight teeth). We took a few shots of him in front of the giant sorcerer's hat in the Disney-MGM Studios and then photographed him during his performance on their Playhouse Disney soundstage.
The rest of our day involved a variety of activities, which I won't bore you with here, but I will say that I REALLY REALLY REALLY want this job. The downside is that there are NO benefits at ALL (nope, can't even get friends into the parks for free), but there are so many upsides that outweigh the bad. I should know if I've got the job by the end of September / beginning of October. I am praying sooooooo hard because this would be a FABULOUS first job!
