I don't know the real story behind why the actor who played Matthew on Downton decided to leave the show. I just know his 'death' was quite wrenching after watching everything that led up to Mary and Matthew finally being together and having a baby. So meh on the finale :( And if there is another ep after that one that I haven't seen then please no spoilers. According to my streaming source there is.

I don't think there is another episode. I think that was the finale but don't quote me.

I think the actor just decided he wanted to move on and his three year contract was up.

Those pumpkin bars are favorite of ours but I've not ever tried the maple pecan icing. Definitely will be adding that next time I make these. Thanks for the link to that site too. Her recipes will come in handy in this house.

They are truly great without the icing. I decided since calories are an issue that I'd try them without and, if they were good, not tempt myself with the maple pecan icing.

Yeah, I plan on exploring more as time goes on. I'll probably bore you all with the details. I'm not the biggest fan of cooking/baking so I may as well make a production out of it. LOL!!!!!!
