Dealing with the Red Cross is always a pain in the ass. In fact, doing anything regarding the military is a guaranteed pain in the ass. Been there, done that for too long, and STILL doing it! Am I a glutton for punishment or what? LOL *hugs and comforts*
Hugs for the memories being brought up because of this.
It is maddening that it has to take all of that in order to just get the message to Craig. I can understand them wanting verification before letting him leave for her funeral or something like that, but just to give him the message that she's dead? Unbelievable! What if it was you, or Carter, or one of his parents? I know that if I ended up finding out about a loved one dying a day after the fact because they wouldn't tell me without verification, then I'd be royally pissed!

Yeah, anything with the government I've found it a royal pain in the mit'kah!
But, in the end, I guess Craig is worth it. Just like yours is ;)

I'm still waiting to hear if he can come home yet though.

I hope they let him go home for the funeral - curses to them if they didn't. It's a family matter after all.
I hope things go smoothly with the funeral. *hugs*
