Ted Danson makes his appearance as DB Russell.
Last night was the S12 premier, and over all I liked it. Ted Danson plays DB Russell, the new lab boss (Catherine was demoted). I wasn't too sure about him at first but as the show and story moved along, I liked him. He brings a bit of quirkiness and comedy to the show - which was lacking last season - that changes the dynamic of the show from the previous season.
I have a feeling, however, that the most rabid fans (the 'OMG! The show is dead since Petersen left' fanbase) won't like his character. I can see where, though, Catherine is going to make her exit. She's bitter about being demoted and her fight with Nick at the end is only just the beginning.
