We had the holiday parade at The Falls on Saturday. The students had a lot of fun...but it was hard to tell since they hardly smiled. We had two turtles in a cage and a dog dressed like a lizard. Next to Santa, I think they were the hit of the parade.
Hubby and I stuck around for a bit since traffic getting out was a nightmare. We walked around the mall for a bit. They had all sorts of events going on. There were bands and a dance studio performed The Nutcracker.
We were asked to participate in another holiday parade in two weeks. If we do this one, I hope it's without parent drama.
I wrote on Friday and I'm almost done with the next chapter to 'Road to Nowhere'. I had another inspiration for 'The Last Stand'. Now, if I can just finish 'The Academy', I'll be in business.
The school has Blue/White Day on Wednesday. I hope we don't get rained out like last year.
The turkey is in the fridge defrosting. I have most of our items and I will be picking more up either today or tomorrow. The turkey is 19lbs. Hubby is already looking forward to the aroma of roasting turkey on Thursday. He's making his sweet potato casserole and I'm making the cranberry salad.
These past two weeks, CSI has been really good and not nearly as gory as the previous episodes have been.
Have a good Monday!
