My morning
The orientation for the new students went well. My little speech promoting the Booster Club went well and I even received compliments. I had the chance to meet the new Principal and two of the new Assistant Principals. I also meet the liaison between the zoo and the school and the director of Monkey Jungle. She offered to have some of the Booster Club meetings at Monkey Jungle, which will be exciting.
After the orientation, we had sign ups for the Booster Club and I was surrounded by parents who wanted to join. In all, I registered thirty-two parents, not counting myself. Three said they couldn't join, but still filled out a form so that I would at least have their email addy, they still wanted to volunteer.
Overall, it was a great morning and I'm looking forward to the new year. I just hope that now these parents that joined will actually become active. Now maybe I can get the returning parents as well.
One last thing:
It was HOT!
EDIT: These socks are so cool!
EDIT 2: Just checked mini-me's class schedule. I hope she's ready for this year.

Apparently they dropped Art from the curriculum, which really upsets me, and it's all because of this damn FCAT.
