The weather yesterday was just gross. The snow was fine, but the sleet and rain that followed just made everything miserable. The first big snowstorm of the season is always so exciting! We got to leave work about 1 yesterday. I think we ended up with about a foot. This morning I got up and cross country skied over to, around, and back from Elizabeth Park.  The rose bushes are all in burlap for the season, certainly not as attractive as mid June. Yay!! It is finally winter. Snow has arrived in Virginia! We are only supposed to get 1-2", but I'll take what I can get. What a difference a year makes. I don't think I was ever excited about snow in Michigan. It also helps that it is on a weekend and I can relax and enjoy it.
