Unpacking has hit the 90% mark or so (actually away from home for about 24 hours now).
The computer is set up with the best job of cable-wrangling I've ever done. DSL back on soon.
The dog runs around our little bit of front yard with an enthusiasam that literally results in grass flying beneath her feet.
Closet space is sparse.
I have a Weber kettle grill now.
The floors are marvelously creaky and un-level.
The kitchen is too small and lacking in storage space. New fridge and stove on Saturday.
The basement needs a ceiling to protect us from spiderwebs in our hair.
The gutters need cleaning before all the little sprouting maple trees grow large and mighty.
The folda-couch wouldn't go upstairs where we wanted it, dammit.
The local cable company puts the food channel at the very high end of cable, requiring $65/month from me if I want to receive it. I do, but not that much.
We've started getting mail.
There's an ice-cream parlour 2 blocks away.
"House of Norway" has very stylish furniture, but they want four thousand friggin' dollars for a mattress, and $2400 more for a bedframe. Okay, fine, it's hand made in Sweden and features (no kidding) "new wool" and "finest horsehair" interior padding, but for that kind of money, I don't care if it was handwoven on a loom resting on the laps of 53 Ecuadorian virgins. Looks like Big Bob's House o' Mattresses for us.
I need to buy hedge-clippers, garden tools, a ladder, and a hose.
This all rules.
