Mixed Up Or Bearing Good Intentions?

I don't usually post this late in the night, but this thought just popped to mind. My brother often brings Boston's WEEKLY DIG (a local alternative paper) into the house and I will page through it. As I looked at this week's issue a few minutes ago, a thought occurred. Two of my friends (Will and Kathy) have mentioned to me the Dig's propensity for picking on people needlessly in a very public way. Will speaks from personal experience, Kathy from her space in the media world. (She's program director at a Boston street rag.) So I added the Dig to the list of media I choose not to read out of social protest. (The Boston Herald, the Wall Street Journal, et al.). Is that silly? I like the Dig a little but not enough to love it. And I *do* love my friends, so they of course come first. Thoughts?
