Weekend Update!

Where to begin?? I guess I'll just jump in!

Friday night was SO much fun! After finishing up in the office at 7pm, I booked it to the Boston Common AMC/ Loews movie theater and joined Bliss and Richa in seeing The Other Bolyen Girl. The movie was quite beautiful, the costumes and people were gorgeous, the sets sumptuous, and the dramatization of the story really engaging. Eric Bana as Henry VIII didn't hurt the eyes, either. ;-) Anyway, it was nice going out with the girls since we hadn't done anything fun at night together in quite some time.

I spent most of Saturday afternoon at Nilton's, returning home to shower and head to work the bar for a few hours with Dan. He'll work out quite well as an outreach worker, I think, once he develops some stronger defense skills and feels more comfortable communicating the program info. HIs enthusiasm and excitement is quite enjoyable, for the time being. As is being able to socialize with him outside of the office. I feel like we could become even better friends and really access each other emotionally without it being weird.

SUNDAY may have been the most fun! Mary, Kathy, and I grabbed brunch at Veggie Planet in Harvard Square. (Grabbed is a loose translation of a multiple-hour meal. LOL) Anyway, it was awesome catching up with them while noshing on a delicious tofu, broccoli, papaya, brown rice with peanut sauce plate. Mmmm! After brunch, we tooled around the square then I hit Davis Square and found a used book to page through at my leisure.

Tonight, I baked Jordan Marsh blueberry muffins. They came out a teensy bit soft but I think they'll firm up and just melt in peoples' mouths tomorrow! Also, Dana called and we made super-plans for Tuesday. Once I'm out of work at 3:30, he'll be there waiting for our First Date/Super Adventure wherever the day takes us. As long as we get to spend time together, it won't matter where we are. :-)

Love,
James
