Fic and film rec: My Dearly Beloved Detective
Fic rec! This year for holmestice I got something I was very much hoping for but not really expecting, a fic based on the film "My Dearly Beloved Detective", which is a rather obscure Russian adaptation of Sherlock Holmes. The fic is my tired soul on fire by an anonymous author. It's femslash, I loved it, and I highly recommend it!
And while I'm at it, I have to rec the film itself too. It's based on the premise that Holmes and Watson were fictional, but so many people came to seek their help at 221B Baker Street that it was deemed necessary to set up a detective agency there, and the two best candidates were two women called Shirley Holmes and Jane Watson.
