Intro post
Having met lots of nice new people at the cox_and_co post, and enjoyed reading their intros, I thought I should do one of my own. It occurs to me that I should stick this in my user profile too. I'm always interested to read other people's "bio" section, but I don't really have one myself...
What I post is mostly fic or fic recs, though also some stuff related to writing, and some meta - I have an ongoing project to watch and review as many Holmes adaptations as possible, which is advancing at a glacial pace at the moment.
Most of what I post is Holmes related, and most of what I read and write is slash (some gen too). One of the first things I did when I discovered the existence of slash was to type 'Holmes Watson slash' into google ;)
I've never really found a screen adaptation whose Holmes fits the mental picture I constructed as a child, though Peter Cushing comes close. (But that's the beauty of fanfic! It can pretty much always fit your mental picture.) I love the Lenfilm and Guy Ritchie versions too, even if they aren't terribly faithful to canon. Livanov and Solomin are absolutely adorable, and RDJ and Jude Law are enormous fun.
Non-Holmes fandoms: Star Trek TOS, due South and Lewis are perennial favourites. I've also dabbled in a few other fandoms, including Aubrey/Maturin, Slings & Arrows, Lawrence of Arabia, Snape/Lupin and Blake's 7, though I don't believe I've ever posted about them. Just discovering Starsky and Hutch at the moment, too.
I don't post very often myself, in fact. I spend more time reading and commenting on other people's stuff.
