6.5 hours of studying chemistry
ok...since wednesday....
well..i have decided once and for all, that fat men shouldn't hop and run around a classroom and still try to lecture. similarly, thin men who can't get dates anywhere else shouldn't crack jokes about their dates when they finally do get one.
had my final dean's book. **tear, tear** NOT!!!!!!!!!! SOOO glad it's over. however, i must say that it passed faster than last semester's dean's book. and while i didn't enjoy "small wonder" (well...i didn't enjoy the majority of it), i will pick up some of her fiction over thanksgiving break. thursday night i went to hillel for a KHH meeting and ended up staying until after midnight, helping jonah in the kitchen, cooking for shabbas lunch.
i set up debbie (from dean's book) with paul. wasn't sure they were gonna be compatible, but they went on a date thursday night and it worked out really well. i'm really happy for both of them. they have plans to spend this thursday together (we have off for the holiday). aww...so cute!!
friday was kinda crazy...i went straight from classes back to hillel for more cooking. got out of there surprisingly early and had time to shower, get dressed and just chill before shabbat. went to hillel...and then the major shit went down.
ok--let's make a long story short: the hillel admin is sponsoring an event (on campus) which none of the hillel student leaders agree with or were even asked about. and there are like 40 student leaders. a few of them got together and drafted a letter to the hillel administration about how we didn't like this event and we didn't appreciate the way we found out about it, etc. (want a full story? come ask!). well..the drafters put some names of the students who were gonna sign the letter (or who they thought was gonna sign) and then they sent it to us via email. well..i wasn't gonna sign it. i thought the language used was too harsh and i just didn't agree with it. so i was upset that my name was on it. i was even more upset when i got to hillel and found out that someone had sent it to hillel and the admin had seen it. i hadn't wanted my name on that letter and now they had seen it. i'm pretty upset a/b that. but whatever...the leaders got together after dinner and had a meeting. we basically agreed to rewrite the letter and agree on it and then send it off. hopefully it'll be ready by monday. b/c of all this, i didn't leave hillel until after midnight.
i got back, did some work, cleaned, talked to people and generally got ready to spend the day with my daddy!!!!!!!
saturday, my dad came up and we did some shopping, drove around. bertucci's for lunch and judie's for dessert!! i got good stuff from home---yay for kosher meat!!! afterwards, i had a semi-marathon study session with this guy, josh, from my chem class. didn't leave the library until almost closing time. went back to my room, grabbed some stuff and went up the hill to stay with kendra for the night.
kendra and i had an awesome time. we watched harry potter and ate cheesecake. yum!! i left her place this morning to come back, do some work and get my ass back to the library.
i did chem OWLs for a while until i left to study with josh at the library. we studied until the review session, went to review, and then we walked around campus for a bit. he's got a truck. and was a world wide surfer.
back now..not doing any more chem tonight, but i'm debating on whether to read or do hebrew.
