[The feed begins with an obviously confused female voice.] ...so how do I turn this damn thing on again? [You can hear her pause before sighing, slightly annoyed.] No, D'veg. You can't eat it, and it doesn't give you cookies.

I guess it's best to follow your heart on that one! If you can trust someone, you'll know when you meet them and look right into their eyes!

Kinda like a hidden layer, or a hidden self, y'know? What if you came across someone like that?

Getting hurt is a part of life, and I think it's something that we all need to experience. In order to really appreciate finding someone we can accept for all of their faults by following our hearts, we have to be hurt, too.
N-Not that it's a pleasant feeling! I'd rather it didn't happen sometimes, haha!
Er... sorry. I went on a bit of a tangent, didn't I?

When we trust people, we partially give them a part of us. Kinda like a way of saying- "here's a piece of me to carry with you, I'm relying on you to take care of it." So most of us really hope they do.
If the do, that's great- it means you've found someone who really is worth getting to know. If they don't, it hurts, and boy does it stick to your memory like a bad nightmare.
We need to get hurt, it's true, because that helps us build our character and everything. But at the same time... being too trusting can get you into more trouble then you could ever imagine.

[He thinks about this for a moment.]
... you can't trust someone unless you know how they'd react under pressure - therefore, understand them. You don't need to trust someone to get along with them, you only need to like them.
Trust is only required when something important to you is on the line... Whether you like them or not has nothing to do it. I know several people I don't like - but I would trust them with my life.
At least, that is the way I see it.

I'd have to get to know them first. You know, befriend them and whatnot.

So you'd take the time to get closer, right? Not a bad idea, definitely doesn't hurt to try. But what if you can't really tell once you do get to know them?
