Ah humans…
You and your “LAWS”.
This spaceship has millions of people from very different worlds. Yet most of you want to impose laws according to YOUR world. “It’s wrong to kill; you’ll go to jail if you do that.”
If in my world taking bathes was forbidden, should I implement that rule here? It’s only fair, don’t you think? It’s a rule from my planet too, why would it be less important than yours about killing people?
I’ve even seen Vogons throwing hitchhikers out in the space. They can do it, yet you won't say anything because it's their ship, right?
I come from a world where killing isn’t a bad thing. If you don’t want to die, then you don’t fuck with the wrong people; it’s that simple. And you humans? You lived in a parallel world that we accessed sometimes with magical doors. And you were our students’ experiments. They used, modified, transformed and killed you to test their magic. You were their lab-rats.
Should I do that here? It’s fair, isn’t it? Why can you apply the rules you had back in your world and I can’t?
[There is a small pause]
It’s not that all you humans are bad, I like some of you, I really do! You do great clothes, you are fun, you sing well, you are friendly and even if weak and pathetic, you can work around those and try to be better. You can actually be amazing. And I’ve no need to kill or test in any of you.
But your species is so… frustrating! You are naïve and yet you think you know it all. And demand things. And Hell forbid if things don’t happen the way you want them to. You think you are the rulers of everything and everyone has to obey your whims, your human morals and your human laws. You consider yourselves the most rational and most important race and every other race is under you - and if it’s not? You’ll make sure to create those things you call laws and demand even more, just so they will at least be close to what you are.
This is not your world. Not JUST your world, anyway.
Deal with it.
I miss Shin.
