[A day had already passed, still the Justicar had not tinkered with her guide plug's text, audio or video functions. One could argue she was putting off confirming that her home planet, or more like entire universe she was familiar with, had been destroyed and, instead, sought to find peace by meditating first. Much had happened up until she was ( Read more... )

Shepard's probably got you covered, but I can help confirm any details you've been given so far.

Welcome aboard, Samara.

[First Commander Shepard and now more of the crew? Samara was pleased to find comrades that had survived, even after the so called destruction of the universe they belonged to. Especially an honorable Turian such as Garrus, unlike another certain Turian Spectre she had once encountered.]

Garrus, I am glad an honorable Turian, such as yourself, survived the destruction. There is comfort in knowing there are comrades I can rely on here.

[Or to some extent, at least.]

I wouldn't go as far as to say honorable, but thanks anyway, Samara.

Shepard and I aren't the only ones-- Mordin, Kasumi and Legion are here, too.

[Word got around the Normandy of Garrus' actions on Omega. She respected his efforts. However, since Samara wasn't exactly there at the time, she wasn't surprised that it didn't make sense to him.]

That is good to know. [she nods.] Speaking of Mordin, when inquiring if there are were any pressing matter I should be aware of I was encouraged to ask you.

[Garrus shifts a bit, getting comfortable. He's pretty sure he knows just where this is going to head]

I'll get into the nitty gritty, but just how much have you been told already? So I know where to start.

It is my understanding is that I am located on a space station called Thor. Many individuals seem to find themselves here, for one reason or another, only to be informed that their home planet had been destroyed. In our case an Asari decided to mind link with a reaper.

However, I speculate that somehow individuals not of our time or universe have also been brought here. There is also a rumor that we are not allowed to leave Thor or attempt to find our home planet with the threat of death.

The threat of death isn't something I've heard about. At least, they're not threatening us with it. The idea is that we're pretty much tied to the ship's engine-- the one that brought us here. If we leave for an extended time, we slowly fall apart. I don't feel like testing that out, to be honest.

As for sharing a universe or not, I know Mordin's from a different universe entirely.

...Actually, that reminds me, is your Shepard male or female?

[Well, that made a lot more sense, and seemed considerably more threatening than someone just saying they couldn't leave. But the fact that her very existence was tied to the ship was unsettling. Samara wondered if she had failed to read the fine print somewhere in the paperwork. 'beware by becoming a refugee your very essence belongs to the ship for the rest of your life!' Something along the lines of that. As if Illium wasn't bad enough.]

An entirely different universe? [Samara thought the universe was vast and infinite. It included many planets and galaxies. But if she didn't think the first question was strange the second one was even stranger.]

Shepard is female.

Then you're probably from the same universe as everyone except for Mordin.

It's some weird temporal or physics thing. Mordin can probably explain that bit better.

In the meantime, I'll fill you in on some of what's been happening on board. Did you hear anything yet about a group called the Purists?

[The same universe as everyone except for Mordin? Things were getting, unnecessarily complicated. She most certainly would have to ask Mordin about this... though, if this was a Garrus from another universe could she trust him? He seemed the same but... ]

No, I have not.

I'll give you the short story.

They're a covert anti-refugee operation that's been making a movement against the current population on the ship. It's mostly been underhanded stuff, nothing too out in the open, although unrest has been growing among their supporters. A couple of fights have broken out, nothing big enough to make waves.

I've been working with a few factions of refugees to try and push against the Purists.

I can send you any extra information you may need, if you want.

That won't be necessary. If what you say is true I will help you. However, I must first witness the injustice for myself. Perhaps I could accompany you on one of your 'missions'? Though, I must remind you, if I am to find you or your faction commit injustice I will have no choice but to act upon the code. I value your skill as a comrade and respect your past actions. However, if there is any doubt your methods might be questionable, perhaps it is best we leave the conversation as is.

Personally, I don't have any doubt that I'm doing the right thing. I'm making sure no civilians are harmed, and that these bastards pay for everything they've done.

These are evil people, Samara. I think your Code would be just fine with me clearing them out of the ship.

[Even with the conviction in his voice, he kind of sounds like he's using this opportunity to convince himself that he's doing the right thing.]

We shall see. [And she just gives one of her paragon stares. Samara isn't that convinced, but now that the issue has been brought to her attention she is unsure if she can simply pretend the conversation didn't happen.]

That extra information you were willing to provide, I would like it. I will also gather any additional intel there is on the matter and will give you my decision in due time.

OOC:(No need to respond only added this so Samara has more legit of a reason to jump on board later.)
