Well, this is interesting. I can't claim that it's a situation I ever would have anticipated, but it's interesting, nonetheless. Ah, it brings up a lot of fascinating questions, don't you think? How is one supposed to feel on discovering their home world - everything they knew and all the people that ever meant anything to them - has been ( Read more... )

Earth's always being threatened where I'm from. It was bound to happen some time.

But what do you want to know? You'll hear a lotta different things depending on when they're from.

So you are also from Earth? That's encouraging. Though I don't recall there ever being a threat big enough to warrant the destruction of the entire world. The story I was given seemed a little hard to believe.

Whatever information you can give me would be appreciated. I can work through the descrepancies once I've heard it all, I suppose.

It's pretty ridiculous at first, but you get used to all the crazy pretty quick.

First off, there are a lot of different versions of the same planets. My Earth has superheroes, but a lot of others don't, or there are superheroes but different ones. You'll hear a lot of different stories because of that. Most of us are refugees here on this ship as far as I know.

Don't trust the aliens here too much. They're not really helpful so they'll say anything to shut you up.

I can't wait~

Superheroes? Though I suppose ultimately that sounds no more fantastic than anything else I've been told in the last few hours. I'm curious as to how you define 'superheroes', though.

Duly noted. Though again, there is the question of definition. If we are all from different worlds, would that not make the majority of us aliens to each other?

Like the stuff you see in comics. I mean, we're real where I'm from, but on other versions of Earth they're comic book characters. A lot of them have superpowers, but some are just really skilled.

Fair point, but this time I mean the Vogons. Not the friendly type.

It did sound rather like something one would read in manga or comic books, but I didn't want to appear rude~ And that is both interesting and surprising, but I suppose that's something I'll have to get used to, while I'm here.

I see. I can't say the limited experience I've had with them so far was particularly pleasant, but I thought perhaps I was being biased. I prefer the company of humans, in general.

Superheroes are probably the most normal of the not-normal people around. You'll see.

I think most of us do. There are a few talking ponies with tattoos on their butts though. They're not half bad from what I've heard. Couple of nicer aliens too.

Oya, this place is obviously going to take some getting used to, based on what you're saying. Though at least I am fairly sure that boredom won't be a problem for me whilst I'm here!

Trust me, you'll never be bored around here. There's way too much to do and too many people around to not run into someone totally new. It gets interesting every month or so. Crazy freaking things happen.

Ah yes. I'm certainly looking forward to getting to know all the people here~

[Though they might not enjoy getting to know him quite so much :|]

I'm not quite so fond of the idea of 'crazy freaking things', however. What do they entail, for example? Besides turning into ponies...

[He'd already been informed about that. And most likely wouldn't have believed it if he hadn't checked the network posts himself]

A videogame came to life a few months back. You ever heard of Super Mario? Cause that was the one that was real, right down to the turtles. Things like that all thanks to the Improbability Drive.

I've heard of it, yes. That sounds both tedious and unbelievable, to have to deal with such occurrences on a regular basis. But I suppose it's just one more thing to get used to, and observing as events unfold could prove to be interesting, at least~

Most things involving people can be interesting, if you look at them in the right way~
