KARTE 015 || 小さな悪魔 {The Little Devil} [VIDEO] (Backdated to plot end)
[Video feed begins looking up from the floor at the ceiling of one of Thor's quiet halls - on the opposite side of the ship from his room, it's a strange place for the Doctor to be wandering. Eventually he appears on screen - or rather, his fingertips, fumbling around for the Guide. It moves a little closer to him, but he still keeps it at a distance, his face obscured by his bangs and a thin hand. He is huddled against a wall, breathing hard and quickly. Blood seeps through his fingers.
It was intended to be an audio, but didn't work. It's also clear Kiriko attempted to filter it from Polymnia Zyanya, but as he could not see the screen, spelt her name wrong and the filter failed.]
N-No... No... no! Is this working?! Please... Christ... Let it work...!
[His shoulders shudder, and beneath his hands covering his face, he is crying hard and unabashedly. After a moment of this, he swallows and, without looking at the guide, speaks as clearly as he can. His voice is deeply pained and, most of all, frightened.]
You.. wh-whoever you were.. We had a deal. I w-went to the Scarlet Devil... Now d-don't hurt her.
[His tone of voice changes from desperate to determined, and he calms himself down with a broken sigh. Then, sternly, in his usual voice, he speaks again.]
Listen! This is important! Someone... someone tell Pol...-!
[But he's run out of energy. He slumps against the wall tiredly, head drooping, his hair covering his face. His hand slowly leaves his eye and he reaches towards the Guide to turn it off.]
Wormhole. Not this...
[He gives one last terrified sob, his hand groping for the Guide's 'off' button. It is covered in red.]
Please...
[The feed doesn't end for a few more minutes as the panicked Doctor can't seem to find it, and slides blindly away from him. It hits the wall a few metres from him and finally shuts down.]
